Thank you for raising this SDL TMS idea on behalf of JLR. As you can appreciate, it's imperative that each Task in SDL TMS has a unique identifier to ensure that tasks from different jobs do not get confused with one another. Can I confirm that your request is related to the "Inbox View (Tasks)" table and that you'd like to see a serial number based on sorting the task IDs in ascending order? I'm also going to put this under community review to see if anyone else has suggested enhancements to the inbox table so that we can incorporate them all at the same time.

would it be possible to add the following in TMS:
Task numbering in the task view of a job: in addition to the unique task ID of each file, would it be possible to have an additional column with a serial task number for each task in a job (1, 2, 3 etc)? Background: TMS jobs may comprise up to 100 tasks and serial numbers would be easier to track for reviewers than the unique task IDs for TMS jobs for JLR.
