We are working on a macro in Passolo 2016 (16.0.309.0) to create a tailored pseudolocalized file and one of the requirements is that each string is manipulated to get a Chinese character (闪 (U+95EA))
The problem is that the retrieved string shows a question mark instead of the Chinese character. Is there a workaround for that? Is this fixed on Passolo 2022?
Where is a question mark shown? In the macro, in the Passolo translation list or in the target file? Which file format are you localizing?
We localize a proprietary format based in an XML format.
The question mark is displayed in the macro after it is saved.
Once I save and close it, when I run the macro, it is there.
Therefore, also the target string (Passolo translation list) and the target file display question marks when we run it.
We just managed to go around the limitation in the macro editor by using the function ChrW
Now it works. But it would be great if the Macro Editor could be updated to a newer version and/or the pseudolocalization options allowed more/different manipulations.
