Generated target file contains wrong translation

I am using Passolo to generate target files in *.resx file format using the Microsoft .NET Parser Add-In.

I noticed that when you generate a target file, texts that are not translated will always be written to that file in the source language.

The problem is, that this even happens if I change the text of the target language and then set the status of that text to "not translated".

A more detailed example:

  • I got the string "Hallo" in German (source).
  • This string is "not translated" in Italian (one of many target languages).
  • If I generate the target file for Italian, it will contain "Hallo" - this is expected behavior.
  • I now change the string in the Italian translation from "Hallo" to "Hello".
However, because this is not Italian, I set its status to "not translated" by using the context menu (right click) > Status > not translated.
  • If I now generate the target file for Italian again, the generated file will still contain "Hallo" but not "Hello" - this is unexpected behavior!
However, the text displayed by Passolo for the Italian translation clearly shows "Hello".

Did anyone experience this behavior before and maybe knows how to fix it?

Is it a bug or just a setting that I did not find yet?

Thanks.
