Please save the image to your desktop and use the Insert Option (you see when replying)

Now you should be able to post the images.

yes, it asks me for a file/URL, and I can't copy and paste the file address... I am feeling stupid...

Thanks for the screenshots- these are always really useful.

These show you are in the Translation Memories view-

Please close the Project Settings Window and then switch to the PROJECTS view 

Now you will see a list of your projects-

Select your project (double click)

This will open the files view - select the file(s) and open in Editor.

Now you can open the project settings if you wish

A little tip-

In your project settings- You have Language Cloud as the second resource 

If you click on the highlighted arrow, you can move (Language Cloud) to the bottom of the list.

This means Studio will look at your TM's first- before using Language Cloud- ensuring you don't use your free allocation of characters too quickly

eg 

Now click OK to return to the Editor and you can begin your translation.

Hi, thank you very much. I was doing exactly this, but it wasn't populating the TM. Also, it wasn't allowing me to create a termbase. What I did was:

And now I can see the TM populated

You seem to be confusing translation memories and termbases which are different things. You are also looking on the translation memory maintenance editor as opposed to seeing your translation memory in the file editor of your translation.

I think it would help you to read through some getting started material or watch some videos before diving in and trying to understand by playing around.

I’ll dig out some links for you that should help and post them shortly.

I know they are 2 different thins. I have looked into guidelines and videos, but as I said, they are for previous versions, but still, I have been watching. There are things that I really don't understand, like what you just mentioned, where I should be looking at the TM.

Generally there is little difference in how these work.  Trados Studio 2021 adds additional features for creating Cloud based projects but you can still do the same things, in exactly the same way, that you could in the previous versions.

The view you are using at the moment is more of a maintenance view where you can see all the content in your TM.  If you look in here also pay attention to the fact this is "paged".  So you'll only see the first however many you set:

If you want to see whether your TUs are being added as you work the best place is to see this in the TM as you translate:

I confirm the segment (Ctrl+Enter) and then if I move back into this segment I can see the result coming from my TM:

If this doesn't happen then you should go to your project settings:

Now navigate to the location of your TMs:
