The volume of content requiring translation is growing faster than conventional methods can support. Fortunately, Machine Translation (MT) has proven to be a quick way to deliver multilingual communication. But what’s the best way of achieving quality with MT? The answer is to add a structured and controlled Post-Editing Machine Translation (PEMT) step to your translation workflows.

This series of three webinars will identify key MT stages and stakeholders and provide clear guidance on creating shared PEMT objectives. To illustrate PEMT best practices, our third webinar will cover the following:

PEMT output is the process whereby humans edit the MT output to the level required for the use case. This webinar will explore the different use cases and discuss the two main concerns that the current content explosion puts to us: how to recruit and train post-editors and how to keep them motivated. But the story doesn’t end there. Post-editors are in a prime position to provide feedback on the MT output, thus giving the engine creators valuable pointers to improve their engines – which in turn makes the post-editor’s life easier. This cycle of improvement will be discussed in the second part of the webinar.
