We would like to see this feature introduced in future releases of MultiTerm:

Conditional branching between parent-child picklist fields, e.g., to link each subject field to only one nested subfield picklist.

For example, we have 29 subject fields and 300+ subfields. It is not convenient for a user to have to select the relevant subfield of the main subject field from the nested subfield picklist (too long).

For example, if we choose the subject field Aeronautics & Aerospace Engineering , we would be prompted to choose only the nested subfield picklist values relevant to that category, e.g.:

Aerodynamics
Air traffic control
Aircraft components & accessories
Aircraft types
Airfields & ground operations
Includes passenger operations.
Avionics
Cargo handling
Onboard facilities
Rescue & safety
Space vehicles & operations
